If you plan to travel around campus this weekend, be aware that Fulton Street will be closed between Ransom and Jefferson avenues from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 11 for utility work.
Because of construction, the bookstore will be temporarily located in the Farside Room, (room 25 on the Student Center’s first floor) from May 30 to June 6.
On May 26, Pioneer Construction will be placing a crane on the Student Plaza to load supplies for work on Cook Hall’s roof. As a result, the entrance to the stair tower for Cook and the Main Building will be closed.
Pedestrians can still walk along the commons.
Because of construction, the Counseling and Advising Center has moved the Data Center, under the Bostwick parking ramp.

Fountain Street is now closed to through-traffic starting at the Ransom Avenue intersection. We don’t have any word yet on how long the work will last.
If you plan to travel to campus today through the weekend:
- Ottawa Avenue NW is closed to through-traffic from Lyon to Michigan streets today through 3 p.m. May 7. The Michigan Street intersection is being paved; I-196 ramps remain open. The recommended detour for southbound traffic is Michigan to Monroe Avenue to Lyon.
- Ionia Avenue NW will also be closed to through-traffic from Lyon to Michigan streets through 3 p.m. May 7. The recommended detour for northbound traffic is Lyon to Monroe to Michigan.
The Disability Testing Center is moving to room 109 in the Calkins Science Center for the summer. You can still reach the office by calling (616) 234-3597.
