GRCC students Rodney Cobbins, Maleny Bennyra Crespo nominated for Grand Awards

Congratulations to the GRCC students who have been nominated for Grand Awards:

  • Rodney Cobbins, nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a College Production” for Facing Our Truth.
  • Maleny Bennyra Crespo, nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a College Production” for Facing Our Truth.

The GRCC Players production of Somewhere in Between has been nominated for “Outstanding College Production.

GRCC alumni are also up for several awards:

  • Sammy A. Puebles, nominated for “Outstanding Direction of a College Production” for Facing Our Truth and for “Outstanding Actor in a Play” for Disgraced.
  • Darius Colquitt, nominated for “Outstanding Actor in a Play” for Hit the Wall.
  • Lis Hatfield, nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Play” for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
  • Robbie Ellis, nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play” for Hit the Wall.
  • Madeline Jones, nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Musical” for The Addams Family.
  • Sam Johnson, nominated for “Outstanding Sound Design” for Beauty and the Beast, Ragtime and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

GRCC theater faculty members are nominated for several awards:

  • Tom Kaechele, nominated for “Outstanding Direction of a Play” for Brighton Beach Memoirs and Philadelphia Story.
  • Catherine Marlett Dreher, nominated for “Outstanding Lighting Design” for Beauty and the Beast, Ragtime and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The Grand Awards will be presented on October 8.
