Former student Duy Duong-Tran will lead the Mathematics Seminar on April 5.
His topic will be community structure in networks. He will survey different methodological approaches used to analyze community (cluster) structure in complex networks. He will also look at classical bi-section (two-cluster) network models and apply algebraic Eigen decomposition to analyze them. Parts of the talk may require knowledge of nonelementary mathematics, but everyone is welcome!
The session runs 3-4 p.m. in room 103 of Cook. Pop and cookies will be served at 2:45 p.m.
