Literacy Center gets share of $228K to help refugees break language barriers to jobs

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Michigan Office for New Americans (MONA) has awarded a total of $228,447 in grants to the Literacy Center of West Michigan and four other organizations implementing programs to help newcomers break language barriers to gaining employment.

… The Literacy Center will be partnering on the project with West Michigan Works!, Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. West Michigan Chapter (ABCWM), and Grand Rapids Community College’s (GRCC) Workforce Training.
